Japan part V

An unusual early-morning experience: the huge fish market in Tokyo. A mad place with electric carts whizzing past, missing you by an inch, traders cutting enormous tuna fish, unidentified marine life in crates, rows of wholesalers selling the catch of the day, narrow alleys and a few tourists with their camera! Well worth the visit!






And a BIG mountain of used polysterene boxes... not for the friends of the environment amongst you!


On the same day, we took the train to Nikko, a town surrounded by mountains famous for its world-heritage temple complex.
Here's H lunching on dumplings in Nikko, in a little restaurant where visitors from around the globe have left notes pinned on the walls. He even found a business card from a guy working in his company!
