What's becoming of the cats?? They haven't been mentioned in the blog for ages, but that doesn't mean they're being forgotten (don't worry, they're not). They got a little fat (well, this is Texas after all) and are on diet food, spend most of the day on one of the sofas or on the floor, wherever it's not too hot, and when they decide to run around (usually that means Lowry chasing Scarlett and lots of hissing going on), they slide on the wooden floors. At night Lowry sits with us in front of the telly, whilst Scarlett usually uses the formal living room at the front of the house as her personal sitting area, or sits on H's travel bag, which she has completely fallen in love with. They're still both completely antisocial with people they don't know, but were quite happy to keep our guests company when H's family were here, and then when Dave came to visit from Edinburgh. They only talk to people they know!
Scarlett has started a funny habit of meowing like crazy when it's time for her to go to bed (ie being shut in the kitchen with Lowry, which she obviously does not particularly appreciate). I'll have to film it one night, it's really very funny and she tries everything she can to postpone the moment as much as possible by refusing to move.
In the meantime, this morning she's helping me with work:

And here's a picture from a little while ago, when Scarlett decided to try the guest bathroom as a new possible place to take a nap:

Salut Maylis,
Cute photos !
I think that like for the both of you, the kitties also had to adjust. Did they also react like this in Edimburg or is this new ?
Keep showering them with TLC & it will be fine.
Bises.
J'aime le regard de Lowry sous le canapé, on dirait mon chat lorsqu'il se prépare à faire le fou.
