-As I am typing, H is repainting the boxroom in order to present it as a decent study to potential tenants.
-We have made a list of what furniture stays, what comes with us, and what goes into storage.
-We have (sort of) decided what needed to be bought for the tenants: a bed, a large wardrobe, a dining table and chairs, 1 or 2 sofas, a coffee table, possibly bedside tables, a new kettle (and other things I'm sure).
-The removal man is coming on Friday to give us a quote for what we want to take. We need to discuss with him when to ship things as they will take 4 weeks to get there on the boat, then will be stuck in customs for a few days.
-We are in touch with a realtor in Houston who will reserve a furnished flat for us for when we arrive.
-The kitties have had their rabies vaccination and are going back to the vet's in 4 weeks to check they are immunised. If so they will be issued with a proper pet passport which will allow them to eventually come back to Scotland.
-We are selling a few bits and bobs on ebay.
And I won't even start the list of the 'TO DO' stuff...
As a preview of our future life, the Houston 'Galleria', a large shopping centre very near which we will live when we arrive... Or, in other words, something for me to do:

Yes, you both will be very busy in the coming weeks.
And as you so rightly said, the "To do" list is going to be long !
I'am sure that little by little, everything will be fine.
A new start for the both of you, and a chance for you to taste American life . That Galleria in Houston looks huge !

Oh my god! Lots to do. I'm sure you'll enjoy every minute of it. This is as much part of the journey and experience, as living in Houston once you finally get there.

Le maître mot de ta vie des prochains mois va être ORGANISATION !!! et du calme aussi... pense à bien noter ce que tu as mis dans tel carton afin d'éviter de chercher après un objet pendant des heures ( et ça c'est du vécu ! ) Sinon pense à prendre une boussole, pour éviter de te perdre ( et de nous perdre ! ) dans le centre commercial de Houston...
