Went to hell this afternoon (sorry, I mean Ikea). The husband was dreading it, as it can be annoyingly busy, but in the end it wasn't that bad at all. We managed to decide on what to buy to replace the main bedroom furniture, and saw a likely wardrobe and drawers for the small bedroom, as well as a single bed, but we need to measure the room first to make sure it fits. Not so much luck with sofas though, as they are really expensive... Will have to find a used one somewhere.
After Ikea, we went to collect the second-hand table and chairs for the kitchen, which we had bought on ebay on Thursday... except that the table turned out to be HUGE and didn't fit in the car!!! So we only took the chairs and will have to go back for the table with a van, on the same day we buy everything else from ikea...
To give you an idea, here's the photo the ebay seller had put online (the 2 armchairs at both ends of the table were not for sale):

We went to hell once in the Warrington Ikea - it was a Sunday
(big mistake) - and have never been back there since! New table & chairs look lovely. Try Freecycle for sofas & other stuff. You have to join the local area group (no cost)& collect yourself, but if you're hiring a van anyway that might work. Everything is free. We shifted our big fishtank very easily - there were 6 offers for it within hours of it being posted.
Hi again Maylis,
I have not yet been to Ikea.
I heard that the prices are interesting though.
That is a pretty dining room set
that you chose.
Good luck for looking up the rest of the furniture.
Have a nice week :)
