Post-Ike update 3

Just a quick message to let you know what is going on with us - which is not very much! I cooked all the meat we had left, and tonight we're eating the curry I made at my-friend-who-has-electricity. Another French family will be there too-their situation even less enviable than ours as they don't have water at their apartment and are having to fetch water from the pool to flush their loo!
Cats are very well, and didn't seem particularly scared during the night of the hurricane... They're now probably pleased to see us lots!
Will go for a bike ride shortly-weather is great, sunny with a few clouds, and the temperatures have gone down a lot, which allowed us to open the windows and make the house more comfortable. It's now 29 outside and 25 inside.
80% of the city is still without power, the authorities are distributing ice, food and water to people who need them.
Thanks a lot for the comments, keep them going, it's great to read you all! :-)

Ps: if anyone wants to call, I now have my mobile on pretty much all the time during the day as I can charge it up at my friend's, but I can't guarantee it will work as the networks seem saturated...
